Devil Tattoos and Tattoo Designs

Depending on the culture, the Devil is a supernatural, Powerful, Evil being. The word "devil" comes from the Greek word "diablolos", meaning "slanderer" or "accuser". Many religions have different Names for this being, including Abbadon, Angra Mainyu, Satan, Asmodai, Beelzebub, Lucifer, Belial and Iblis.

Christians see the Devil as fallen angel that creates Evil and uses his powers to trick men and Women into partaking in the Evil. In Judaism, the Devil takes the form of an "adversary" or "prosecutor" while God is the ultimate judge. The Prosecutor points out the Evil misdeeds of others instead of the traditional roles of creating Evil. According to the Islam tradition, the Devil's main power is to make Evil suggestions to the Hearts of men and Women. Buddhists know a Devil-like figure called Mara that personifies the Death ofSpiritual life. He tries to distract humans from practicing the Spiritual life by tempting them into Evil. There are several faiths that have no Evil or Devilish figures in their ideology.

As a tattoo, the horned and Winged image of the Devil can represent Satanism, or the worship of Satan as the supreme God. Devil tattoos can also Symbolize a mischievous, trickster, or slightly wicked Nature. They can also represent a predisposition toward sinful behavior or vices.

Dice Tattoos and Tattoo Designs

Dice are small cubic objects used to randomly generate numbers or symbols. They're used for gambling, especially craps as well as table top games. A traditionally die is usually a cube with the corners rounded. Each side is marked with a different number of circular pits called pips. Although they are normally made of plastic now, they were originally made from the ankle bones of hoofed animals and known as knucklebones.

Throughout time, gambling has been an important part of many cultures. There were many professional gamblers in ancient Rome. Some of the first "loaded" or fixed dice were found in ancient Roman ruins. Playing dice was a favorite pastime of knights and ladies in the French middle ages. Today dice are a common sight in gambling institutions as well as less risky board games. When someone says the expression "to roll the dice", it means to take a big risk. Another common expression is "the die is cast" and it means that once the dice have been thrown or a course of events have been set in motion, you no longer have control over the results.

Dice games are more about luck than skill. Dice tattoos are worn by those who either consider themselves lucky or want to draw luck to them. Dice tattoos can also be worn ironically, as if to say "Take a chance on me". A pair of dice also means that wearer is a risk taker themselves. Dice tattoos are often incorporated with other gambler's symbols orlucky symbols like playing cards, drugs, and loose women as well as the number 7 or a four leaf clover.

Capricorn Tattoos and Tattoo Designs

Capricorn is the tenth astrological sign in the Zodiac, originating from constellation of Capricornus. Capricorn is said to be a feminine, introverted, earth sign, ruled by the planet Saturn. People born between December 22nd and January 19th are said to be born under the sign of Capricorn. Those people are aid to be ambitious, rational, tenacious, authoritative, strong, serious, businesslike people.

Capricorns are symbolized by the goat and associated with the Greek myth of the goat Amalthea. Zeus's father, the titan Cronus, has been told by an oracle that his children, the Olympians, would someday overthrow him. To ensure the prophesy would not come true, he ate each one of his children. His wife, Rhea could not bear to see all of her children eaten and devised a plan to save her youngest. When Zeus was born, Rhea handed Cronus a rock wrapped in baby's clothing and he swaddled that instead. She then hid Zeus in a cave on Mount Ida in Crete, where he was raised by the goat Amalthea. Amalthea suckled and protected Zeus from the elements while a company of smaller gods danced shouted and clashed their spears against their shield so the Cronus would not hear the baby cry. To honor her, Zeus placed her in the sky and she became the constellationCapricornus.

The astrological symbol for Capricorn is similar to the number 7 juxtaposed with the number 6. It is said to represent the tail and horns of the sea goat. Capricorn tattoos usually incorporate this symbol with a representation of a goat. Goats are also popular mascots so a person wearing a Capricorn tattoo might simply be a sports fan.
