When you hear the phrase “in memory of,” the thought of people who have lost a life may instantly spring to mind. These words are used when there is a tribute or a memorial in place for another person due to a fatality. This phrase is commonly used in the military because of the numerous lives that have been lost in battle. It’s common to see a person who may have served in the military or even a civilian have a tattoo that has the phrase in memory of a certain person.
