Mummies are deceased bodies that have been wrapped in cloth or preserved in box or caskets. Mummies date back as far as Ancient Egypt and are well-known for being sacred. It’s not uncommon to see mummies in horror movies, as well. Additionally, there are animal mummies in existence, as well, and it’s estimated that over one million of this type of mummies have been found in Egypt alone. A mummy tattoo represents a symbol of death to many people. Other people may view it as a symbol of perseverance because of the body being kept intact longer. It’s not uncommon for some horror lovers to get a mummy tattoo that shows a love for this type of movie genre.
