As a tattoo element, the crown isn't necessarily a symbol of the wearer's right to rule others. A crown tattoo symbolizes an individual's sovereignty over their own life, feelings, thoughts and actions. The crown tattoo symbolizes self control and is a reminder to use power and authority wisely and justly.
